This season's theme is "Japonisme"
In the late 1800s, Japan made a sensational appearance on the world stage and captured the attention of the world.
The influence of LV's "Damier" design on famous painters such as Toulouse-Lautrec, Van Gogh, and Monet is immeasurable.
Inspired by motifs unique to Japan and exotic cultural customs, enjoy HOiSUM's unique Japonisme collection once again.
Kasuri dyeing is a traditional Japanese weaving technique in which threads are dyed in a way that creates geometric or pictorial patterns when woven into a fabric.
This technique is believed to have originated in India.
The beautiful silk fabrics made using this technique were brought to Japan from China in the 8th century and are preserved in the Shosoin Repository in Nara.
The ikat technique has been applied to knitting.
The edges of the pattern are blurred, which is where the name comes from.
These are HOiSUM's original kasuri dyed socks.
