This socks is British wool blend yarn.
As the name suggests, British wool comes from sheep raised in the UK, but the UK has the largest variety of wool breeds in the world.
Growing in the harsh mountainous environment, where the Arctic cold and winds keep coming, gives this fabric a unique firmness, toughness, and bulk (fluffiness of the fibers).
Variations are created using ribbing, cable and seed stitch (piqué).
