In order to promote the sock industry in Nara Prefecture, we commissioned indigo dyeing to be done by Indigo Classic, a dyeing craftsman from Nara.
The indigo color known as the blue trail is
Indigo is grown from small green leaves, sukumo (indigo dye) is made, and the fabric is carefully dyed.
It takes about 100 days to make sukumo.
