Japonisme: A fusion of tradition and innovation with a Japonism theme
The late 1800s was a time when Japan made a sensational debut on the world stage, a time that had an immeasurable influence on famous artists such as Louis Vuitton's Damier pattern, Toulouse-Lautrec, Van Gogh, and Monet.
These are Kasuri socks, one of the items that have been incorporated into the HOiSUM-esque Japonaisrie collection, inspired by motifs unique to Japan and exotic culture and customs.
Kasuri dyeing is a traditional Japanese weaving technique in which threads are dyed in such a way that they create geometric or pictorial patterns when woven. Brought to Japan from China in the 8th century and preserved in the Shosoin Repository in Nara, this beautiful technique has been adapted by HOiSUM for use in modern knitting.
Design Features
A horizontal striped border pattern in a variety of colors. The edges of the pattern are blurred, which is a characteristic of Kasuri and is also the origin of its name.

A story of light and wind born from the major renovation of 19th century Paris
The beautiful cityscape of Paris today was created by the Great Renovation Project carried out under the rule of Napoleon III during the Second Empire. This large-scale urban development project, undertaken by Georges Haussmann in the mid-19th century, aimed to bring light and air into Paris, which had previously been dark, unsanitary, and lacking in sunlight.
"Sunlit" means sunshine, and these shoes express the beautiful sunshine that can be found in the streets of Paris.
Design Features

Georges Haussmann, who pushed for the major renovation, is also known as the father of Paris, and Vertigo is an homage to the beautiful, well-balanced streets that were born during a turbulent era.
The 1920s were known as the Roaring Twenties. Although most of the remaining footage and photographs are in black and white, the color scheme that evokes the glamorous era is truly dizzyingly beautiful.

Special design for craft beer lovers
These socks are a collaboration with the popular beer "NUTS&MILK," released by Nara Brewery in 2020 and have been requested by many fans for a re-release. The special pair features the label design of this hazelnut-flavored brown ale.
Nara Brewery, which has been brewing over 150 types of beer since its founding in 2018 under the motto "The joy of choosing beer," and HOiSUM, which pursues the warmth of craftsmanship spun out by artisanal techniques and vintage machinery, have collaborated to create a special item born from the passion and connection between the two brands.
Design Features
The striking color blocking of wine red and turquoise blue is accented with the red embroidered "N" and "M" characters on both sides, and the yellow stitching peeking out from the inside, adding a playful touch to the bag.
