Workshop

We will be holding a workshop unique to HOiSUM for two days only, on Saturday, May 25th and Sunday, May 26th, 2024!
Taiwanese dye artist AMO, who was in charge of dyeing the Taiwanese collaborative socks, will be in attendance and will be giving a lecture directly from the dyer, allowing visitors to create their own original dyed socks.

There are four classes on each date (12:00-13:00, 13:00-14:00, 14:00-15:00, 15:00-16:00), and up to four people per class.

Taiwanese dye artist AMO and HOiSUM

Last summer, I met AMO, who came from Taiwan to study Japanese dyeing techniques. We shared a common interest in Japanese dyeing techniques and craftsmanship. Our desire to preserve Japanese techniques and craftsmanship for future generations led us to this collaboration. AMO's unique dyeing techniques and coloring are one of a kind. Enjoy the gradations that evoke the gentle breeze of Taiwan.
