[ Event Report ] HOiSUM x Taiwan Festival Limited Time POPUP

The "HOiSUM x Taiwan Festival" was held at the popular sandwich shop "BUY ME STAND" from May 24th to 26th, 2024.

Last summer, I met AMO, who had come from Taiwan to study Japanese dyeing techniques.

The event was planned as a result of sharing our passion for Japanese dyeing techniques and artisans, and it even led to the sale of collaborative socks.

On the day, socks created in collaboration with AMO will be on sale, a dyeing workshop will be held, and Taiwanese goods purchased by HOiSUM will also be on sale.

BUY ME STAND also offered limited edition Taiwanese collaboration sandwiches and desserts, as well as Taiwanese beer.

We hope that all visitors were able to get even a little taste of the Taiwanese atmosphere while in Japan.

The highlight of this POP UP was the sock dyeing experience workshop by Taiwanese dye artist AMO, which was a huge success.

Participants created their own original socks and dyed them in the colors of their choice.

"I was interested in dyeing, but when I actually tried it, I found the technique to be quite difficult! I learned a lot about how the patterns and colors came out, and made some new discoveries!"
