The fusion of Japanese tradition and modern design: Rediscovering the freshness of Japonismeerie

The theme of this collection, " Japonisme ," is inspired by Japanese culture, which attracted attention around the world in the late 1800s.
Japonaiserie refers to the early stage in which Westerners became fascinated with Japanese art and cultural elements and began collecting and imitating them.
On the other hand, Japonism refers to the phenomenon in which Japanese art and culture have had a deeper influence on Western art, giving rise to new modes of expression and aesthetics.
The theme of this collection is Louis Vuitton's "Damier" pattern and the Japanese aesthetics that influenced famous painters such as Toulouse-Lautrec, Van Gogh, and Monet, expressed through a modern interpretation that is characteristic of HOiSUM.
